About Heather Easley
This collection of my paintings has been done over the last 25 years. Many of my paintings were done whilst I was living in Cornwall, England. In 2004 my husband and I moved to live in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain. This beautiful island offered us a more peaceful, less stressful life with blue skies, and warm sunshine almost every day of the year. Heaven! The only thing that was missing was the beautiful explosion of wild flowers of the Spring and Summer in the UK. I spent several years excited about painting the landscapes of my new surroundings.I also began painting the flowers and trees that grow here.
My husband of 50 years died in December last year after a long illness and now as I have more time to paint I find myself wanting to paint again the British wild flowers that I love so much. I have to rely on photographs from my family, but the flower forms are deep in my memory and the pictures seem to paint themselves. I hope you enjoy my work. It is painted with love.
